2.4 Release
This BOF was again 2.4 release centered. Joao proposed to set a fixed release date, which never worked, as other developers pointed out. Mitch proposed the following strategy: Everyone try to fix as many bugs as possible to make the release happen. UI translations will not be release critical.
Documentation
It was discussed when the documentation team can start documenting GIMP 2.4. Roman pointed out, that the documentation team won't start documenting new features until an UI freeze, but Mitch pointed out, that most of the UI won't change much in the future, so start documenting new features will make sense.
Roman and Axel agreed of making a 'last' documentation release in June for GIMP 2.2 and then start working on 2.4.
Another part was to lower the barriers for new contributors. Axel proposed to put an E-Mail on every documentation page, where people can reply with contributions. Roman pointed out that the best way to get contributions by readers is to have an help browser like the mono project has. Jimmac described what the advantage over a WIKI and the E-Mail approach compared to the monodoc browser will be.
Michael Schumacher proposed again the idea of having a fixed content at the top with a comments system. Problem: Updating the fixed content but leaving the comments. Another problem is the needed infrastructure...
