Request For GIMP Desktops
I am working on a highly stylized web page for my web site that will show how different GimpUsers have TheGIMP set up on their desktops. If you can figure out how to upload this information to this wiki, I might be able to use it on my site and most definately promise to script up a more uniform area like this for the future www.gimp.org. I will need examples from all walks of life. If you would like to be the oldest gimp-user, then perhaps it might be good for you to fill out a user page to let me know how old you are (for example). It will truly be best if the users tell me what they want the world to know. I got involved with gimp development because I wanted to show off, i cannot be the only one.
I will need the following information, initially:
a screenshot of your gimp desktop. jpeg, png, gif. i prefer png. tiff does not belong here
a screenshot of the open GIMP Text Editor (i am putting urls on it for the web page)
the image you use as your desktop background (if you use one) please make sure we don't get into trouble from using it
a copy of your .gimp-1.3/sessionrc file
I will try to make a wiki page with the default desktop and some defaults I put with gimp stuff as soon as I get the sample default web page online. Or, you can help with this also.
