Nowadays, there is no way to import OpenOffice Draw (*.sxd) files to Gimp.
But you can export your OpenOffice (menu File / Export / ) to the free PNG format that Gimp can open.
ToDo - include OpenOffice Draw format (*.sxd ) in the Gimp .
